A beautiful natural history photo. You've captured the emu magnificently, the framing is spot on, and the photo brings out the textures and subtle colourings wonderfully. For me the beak, rather than as is more typical the eye, captures the vision first, with its sharp outline and almost metallic textures. However, the point of focus soon moves to the eye, with it's delicate traceries and strong colours. The only way that I can see this picture could possibly be improved is if some way could be found of darkening the white space in the upper right section, which is a bit glary. But this may be difficult to do without marring the photo, and is in any case nit-picking. A marvelous photo and thank you for sharing.
