Not Thrown Away

Technically its a great image, it looks to me to be a tone mapped black and white conversion although I could be wrong, the ominous presence suits the backdrop well.

I like the way the clouds form to be almost in synch with the branches of the tree.

Where I do struggle is to try and understand what its a picture of. It almost looks as though there is some form of wreckage in the tree but its hard to say if I'm right or not.

The conversion to black and white has taken out some of the details and depth to be able distinguish what's going on, this may well be an image that would improve if it it was in colour.

As with most HDR there is an issue with noise but this can be overcome with a few plug ins for CS3/4 that will greatly reduce it.

In summery I like the image but it needs to be explained via the artist what its about or colour introduced.
